This sophomore album is like the current stage in late-capitalism: more of the same, just as before. Anxiety, frenetic and misdirected energy, bellicosity, broodiness, and unforgivable indulgence. These songs accompanied their creator during the days of people chanting "Black Lives Matter", "Disarm, Defund, and Disband", and, as NWA told us, "FTP". Remember that the powers-that-be are not untouchable. In a move reminiscent of their Egyptian counterparts in the Arab Spring, Minneapolis rebels took down the police precinct that had terrorized residents for years. You can hear those voices and actions, faintly, here. Of course, the future will bring more rebellions; what will they sound like?
