Despite their brevity, these songs are, on the whole, more trying and rewarding of patience than usual. Some of these jams are classic OG projects dating back many years. As opposed to blasting this album over a thousand-dollar stereo system, a good set of headphones will probably work better. The devil remains in the detail, and can be best appreciated in a quiet, dark room with your eyes closed. And, reports to the contrary notwithstanding, I'm not dead.
